Beaumont Trophy 2nd round

Neville and his  Beaumont team travelled to Diss for their second round match
On a tough course the team played well and came away with a brilliant win
The team pairs were
Mick Hurley and Simon Donnolly
Danny Lumley and Steve Brough
Jon Dewey and Ken Burbridge
Keith Ribbans and Brig Archer
Thanks  to Hilary Archer  Terry and Jo Bright who travelled to support the team
The next round will also be an away fixture

Tams vs Benton Hall

The TAMS continued their winning form at home with a good result against Benton Hall
Even after heavy rain the previous day the course was in excellent condition and this was
commented on by the Benton Hall players which is always good to hear from players from other clubs
The TAMS won by 6 games to 2
The winning pairs were
 Captain Neville Proctor with Paul Jennings

Danny Lumley Richard Clayton
Deb Outar Bill Stowe
Mark Milner Brian Fulton
Tony Page Richard Elbourne
John Ames and Barry Root battled well but lost on the 18th
Stephen Gooday and Keith Armes apparently just had one of those bad golfing days.

TAMS vs COLNE VALLEY

TAMS travelled to Colne Valley for this  fixture
We came away with a good result winning by 41/2 to 11/2
The winning pairs were Neville Proctor Peter Turner,  Keith Ribbans Peter Webber,
Stephen Gooday Barry Root, Richard Clayton Keith Armes, with Deb Outar and John Ames halving their
match

Team from BRETT Vale travelled to Bury St Edmunds for first round of Beaumont Trophy
Brett Vale team was Mick Hurley Simon Donnolly Danny Lumley Steve Brough Jon Dewey
Ken Burbridge Keith Ribbans Peter Robinson and Team Captain

After a very close encounter the result was all square this led to a play off with Mick Hurley and Simon Donnolly being the chosen ones to play
Simon Donnolly sunk a par putt on the first play off hole to win the match
A very good team effort by all we now await next round opponents which will also be played away from Brett Vale
