Merryweather Trophy

The Ladies and Tams played their annual Merryweather Trophy match, the weather was perfect and the course was once again in excellent condition.
The Ladies were Captained by Sheila King and their team was:

The TAMS were Captained by Neville Proctor and their team was:
Andrew Burl Keith Armes  Nigel Hanham Jim Stewart Richard Elbourne Paul Jennings Alec Threlkald Andrew Brothers Dennis Newman Maurice Eccles Reg King Brig Archer Alan Brundle Bill Stowe Rob Martin.
After the usual banter surrounding the Ladies receiving extra shots  the matches started in good humour
The after match meal was Lasagne chips and salad  was excellent and  well received
The result was Ladies 4.5 to TAMS 3.5 thereby the Ladies were victorious and the beaten Captain Neville Proctor .
A great day was had by all and was played in good humour with some serious golf involved

TAMS vs Felixstowe

The TAMS played their 15th match of the year today away at Felixstowe
It is always a difficult venue but the TAMS led by Captain Neville Proctor were in good form and recorded their first Draw of the season 4 – 4
They have now won all of their 7 home matches and this was their 8th away match with 4 wins and 3 defeats before todays draw
Captain Neville was not able to add a victory to his numerous previous wins
but wins were recorded by

TAMS vs Braintree

The TAMS played a further Home inter Club match today Thursday 4th July 2019, this time against Braintree
In glorious weather, with TAMS Vice Captain Peter Webber leading the team in the absence Captain Neville, the team produced another strong home performance to win 7-1 and keep up the unbeaten run at Brett Vale

T.A.M.S vs Clacton

Brett Vale TAMS played at Clacton on a very windy day which made play very interesting but at least the sun shone

This was the inaugural match against Clacton and they were very pleased to be playing us

T.A.M.S Committee Cup

The course was in superb condition for the T.A.M.S. Committee Cup held today which was won by Paul Ansell with a splendid score of 44 points. Well done Paul.
Second place was hotly contested with 4 players on 40 Points. Brig Archer took 2nd place on count back from Nigel Hanham and Simon Donnelly with Stephen Gooday just missing out.
Nearest the pin prizes were won by Peter Bennett, Tony Ryan and Mick Hurley
