The TAMS played their last Home Inter Club Match of the season today Tuesday 16th October when they played a re-arranged match against Hintelsham Golf Club
It was a glorious day and our visitors, making their first visit to the Club, were impressed with the Course and the meal provided afterwards
Brett Vale TAMS kept up their winning form and their 100% Home record with a sound 5 – 3 victory
The five winning pairings were led by TAMS Captain Maurice Eccles who playing with Nigel Hanham were in impressive form winning 7 & 6
Neville Proctor & Stephen Gooday were also in fine form and recording a further 7 & 6 victory
Paul Jennings & John Barnett won by the large margin of 5 & 3
The final two wins were much closer with Keith Armes & Barry Root leaving it late to take the lead for the first time in the match on the 17th and to hold on for a 1 up victory
Brig Archer & Peter Orrin gained a four hole lead at the halfway stage but a late rally from the visitors was not quite good enough and they also won by one up
The TAMS have now completed 24 Inter Club matches for the season and have won 17 drew 2 and lost 5
They have won all 12 matches at fortress Brett Vale with 5 victories 2 draws and 5 defeats at the away venues
With the success of todays first match with Hintelsham GC the TAMS will now be playing an extra away return fixture at Hintelsham on 22nd November
Well done to Maurice & Malcolm and all the TAMS who have taken part during an outstanding season
