TAMS vs HINTELSHAM

The TAMS played their 21st match of the season today, Thursday 29th August – Away at Hintelsham Golf Club
After a close match Captain Neville Proctor led his TAMS team to yet another victory, for what is proving to be the best season ever for the TAMS
Although Neville lost his match by a close margin, the TAMS team achieved 4 wins and 2 halved matches to record an overall Win by 5-3
Wins were recorded by
Brig Archer & John Ames by 5 & 4 (Brig however struggled to the first tee ready to play, before realising that the Battery for his Power Trolley was left in the car. A visit to the car park, whilst the others waited, helped the Pair to a good victory)
Deb Outar & David Boast by 4 & 3 – with David in exceptional form
Keith Ribbans & Peter Webber by 1 shot
Tony Page & Maurice Eccles by 1 shot
Halved matches were recorded by
Stephen Gooday & Peter Orrin and
David Brothers & Brian Fulton
Well done to the team
It now leaves the TAMS having played 21 of their 26 matches for the year
with all 11 played at Brett Vale having been won by the TAMS teams and
of the 10 away matches played there has been 5 wins 2 draws and only 3 defeats

TAMS v UFFORD

TAMS played their return match at Ufford Park and came away with the match halved
The winning pairs were

Special mention for Brig Archer with his pairing three down with four to play
Brig birdied three of the last four holes to make it a win this stunned their
opponents
Stephen Gooday and John Pritchard recorded the best result winning by
three holes
The other three wins were closer two winning by one and the other by two

LADY CAPTAINS AWAY DAY – CRETTINGHAM GOLF CLUB

THURSDAY 15TH AUGUST 2019

Twenty one ladies from Brett Vale including our Lady Captain Sheila King thoroughly enjoyed the day out at Cretingham Golf Club which comprised a game of golf followed by a very nice meal.

Although the scores weren’t high some good golf was played and there was a lovely atmosphere despite the rain at one point.

The event was won by   Carol Owens

Third was                       Leisel Morton – Smith

Front nine was              Eunice Threlkeld

Back nine was              Yvonne Vince

TAMS vs CLACTON

The TAMS played there 11th home match of the Inter Club season today when they played Clacton Golf Club (the first ‘Seniors’ match at Brett Vale between to the two clubs)
The course and the food to follow were both outstanding
The TAMS kept up their 100% home win record with a 7 – 1 victory
There are just two home matches remaining in what could be a record year for the TAMS
The team were led by Captain Neville Proctor playing with Maurice Eccles and they recorded a close win by 1 hole
