Tams v Stoke by Nayland

The TAMS were back to winning form today Tuesday 14th May when they played Stoke by Nayland at home
With the course looking good and playing great and excellent food to follow the TAMS won a close match 5-3
The five winning pairings were

Ned Long Trophy

Ned has generously sponsored this event for the past eighteen years, and consists of a four-ball mixed team stableford event involving the Ladies Section and the Brett Vale TAMS (Seniors) with the best three scores to count.


The winning team with a massive 125 points was Lindsay Armes , Bob Moffat , Peter Turner and Jo Bright – and they are shown receiving their prize from Ned at the luncheon which followed the competition.


The Runner’s up with 115 points were Hilary Archer, Jennifer Stevens, Terry Bright and Dennis Newman.




The TAMS have had a busy week with two Inter Club matches played this week
On Tuesday 7th May the TAMS played Colne Valley at Brett Vale in a 12 a side match
A good performance saw the TAMS win comfortably by 5 – 1

Today’s game went well we won 4.5 to 3.5

T.A.M.S vs Thorpeness

The TAMS suffered their first defeat of the Inter Club season today Wednesday 24th April when losing a close 12 a side match away at Thorpeness by 2 1/2 to 3 1/2
The two TAMS wins came from the pairings of Jon Dewey & John Ames by 2 & 1 and from Stephen Gooday & David Branch 2 up
The pairing of Maurice Eccles & Bill Stowe halved their match, with the other three matches ending in two heavy defeats and a further close defeat on the last hole
