The TAMS completed their Inter Club match year with another outstanding victory today, 22nd October at home to Hintelsham GC
It was the record for the TAMS winning all 13 home matches in the season
Well done to Captain Neville Proctor and his teams
The match result today was 6 1/2 to 1 1/2 with the following results achieved
Captain Neville Proctor playing with his Vice Captain were the only pairing to lose a close match by 1 shot
The pairing of David Brothers & Peter Turner halved their match coming back from 2 down with 3 to play. Additionally Peter Turner recorded an Eagle 2 on the 6th
The other six pairings all won their matches as follows:
Danny Lumley & John Ames 7 & 5
Keith Ribbans & Chris Gerry 3 & 2
Paul Jennings & Richard Clayton 5 & 4
Maurice Eccles & Barry Root 8 & 6
Andrew Brothers & Peter Orrin 7 & 5
Brig Archer & Clive Bloom 3 & 2
Well done to the team, to the catering staff who provided a super meal to follow, and to the greenstaff who provided excellent playing conditions despite all the recent rain

TAMS vs STOWMARKET

Brett Vale TAMS played their 12th home match of the year against Stowmarket and recorded an outstanding 8 – 0 win
Its now twelve wins out of twelve home matches played with the final match in two weeks time against Hintelsham
The course was excellent as was the food to follow
Well done to Captain Neville and his team on another victory

TAMS vs BENTON HALL

The TAMS played an away match today at Benton Hall

The TAMS played there last away Inter Club match of the season today 1st October against Benton Hall
The team were lucky with the weather, and a good competitive match saw the TAMS suffer a close defeat by 3 1/2 to 4 1/2
Wins were recorded by
David Brothers & John Ames 1 up
Paul Jennings & Barry Root 2 & 1
Stephen Gooday & Danny Lumley 3 & 2
and
Peter Webber & Clive Bloom halved their match
The TAMS have now played all thirteen of their away matches with 6 wins 2 draws and 5 defeats
They have just two home matches remaining, at home to Stowmarket next Tuesday and to Hintelsham two weeks later
To date they have won all 11 home matches and hopefully they can continue this at ‘fortress Brett Vale’ to complete an outstanding year
