Ladies inter club friendly matches

We’ve had two very enjoyable matches this week in lovely hot weather.
1st June we lost against Stoke By Nayland  but it was a close run thing.
3rd June we won against Newton Green which after our defeat in the Cranworth last week was gratifying to say the least !!
Everyone enjoyed the beautiful course.
The Ladies played at Seckford in a Division 3 County match on 10th May. Five players took part. Jeanette Shea
was the winner of the Silver Quaiche Cup with Tania Fuller in third place. The third member of our team was Catherine Le Tue
and they gained 89 points between them and they will receive the Belstead Shield. Well done to all the ladies that took part.
We had a lovely match at Ufford Park Thursday 20th May.Unfortunately it wasn’t a win for us but the course played well and the weather was kind.
A really enjoyable day and we’re looking forward to the return match !!

We Ladies at Brett Vale love playing our friendly matches.  This year we played 8 matches. Newton Green was abandoned about half-way through due to a thunderstorm, Bury-St-Edmunds kindly re-arranged the match due to our Cranworth commitments, Stowmarket cancelled as the course wasn’t available to them and Stoke-by-Nayland couldn’t offer us a date this year.

Brett Vale is a very popular course to play and we take great pride in showing it off!  We had loads of compliments this year about the condition of the course. So well done and thanks to Tony and his team!!

We have finished our friendlies for 2019 and I am happy to list the results below.  Last year we Won 3, Halved 2 and Lost 5.
