After a late November Match with Newton Green we concluded the 2023 season
The Ladies Matches played were with Purdis Heath,Stoke By Nayland Hintlesham Stowmarket, Rushmere and Newton Green.
Mixed Matches were with Benton Hall Home and Away and Away at Diss.
An even result as 2 games were team games ( 2 players from each club ) 3 games won 3 lost and a draw !!
The Ladies wish to thank the Green Keepers for maintaining the course in such good condition. It is always remarked on by our visitors and of course our thanks also to the Bar Staff and Holly’s Team for the delicious food.
20th April.
We had our first Match at Ipswich Golf Club. An away win was very pleasing. A great game throughly enjoyed by all !!

A home match against Stowmarket. Lovely weather and pleased to halve with them.
26th September
We played Bury away and very happy to win on their home ground
29th September
We played Seckford away and Halved the match after a close game.
3rd October
Another away match at Rushmere where we lost 2 games to one.As it was a course which several people had never played before ..A satisfactory result !!
17th October
An away game against Newton Green which was halved.
Our Friendly Matches provide an opportunity to play other courses and meet other players.They are always played in a good spirit and
enjoyed by everyone taking part.
It needs to be mentioned that our lower handicap ladies as well as those who spend a lot of time abroad are always willing to help if required but don’t always put themselves forward to give others a chance to play in competitive matches.
We’ve come to the end of this season until next April and wish to thank the Green Keepers for all their hard work and of course the Bar Staff and Holly’s team for the delicious food provided.
This year Brett hosted the annual Ladies Friendly Matches Meeting which was well attended.

Spread provided which looked splendid and was !!

13th April we played an away match at Stoke By Nayland. A great day with lovely weather made even better by a 3 – 1 win.Very pleasing to beat them on their own course.Always challenging !!
19th April was a home match against Ipswich Ladies The first time we’ve hosted them.Again the weather was kind and an enjoyable game was had by all.
A 3-1 win to us which was gratifying of course and later we all enjoyed our chilli and Jacket potato.
Our first Friendly match of 2022 was away at Woodbridge.Luckily we missed the rain and had a very enjoyable game.
Unfortunately not a win for us but a very close match !!
