Golf history

Brett Vale Golf Club, which was first opened in 1993, occupies 137 acres in the Dedham Vale and is designated as an area of outstanding beauty. In 1998 the club was bought by John Reid, and over the next nine years until he sold the club in 2007 the course has benefited from investment and commitment with re-moulded holes; extra tee space; new paths; improved irrigation and drainage; improvements to the club house; extra car parking and the opening of three Par 3 nursery holes.

In 2007 Chris Waters and his sister Lindsey Williams bought the club.

Improvements to the greens and fairways have continued, whilst a new larger pro shop was opened in March 2008.

In 2005 and 2006 the club achieved SILVER in the HSBC Regional Course Rankings.
